Main Event For WWE Elimination Chamber Reportedly Revealed

There have been conflicting reports over the past several hours as to what the main event for tonight's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view would be. Per those reports, plans have apparently changed at least once on Sunday.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful claimed earlier this afternoon that the Women's Tag Team title Chamber match was set to go on last, but that has apparently since changed.

Sapp later issued a new tweet, claiming that the men's WWE Championship Chamber match would be the finale. Sapp then subtweeted further reported information, saying that Vince McMahon himself wants the men's Chamber to go last.

If this is indeed the plan, it will mark the first time since Fastlane 2018 (almost a full year) that a WWE Championship match closes out a pay-per-view. After AJ Styles retained that belt in a six-pack challenge at Fastlane, the Universal title match has gone on last at three pay-per-views, while seven different PPV closers (including at Greatest Royal Rumble, Super ShowDown, and Crown Jewel).have not been for championships at all (special GRR winner's belt aside).
