New Champion Crowned On WWE NXT

Nathan Frazer is the new NXT Heritage Cup Champion

A title change took place on the Tuesday, June 13 edition of NXT.

Noam Dar was originally advertised to defend the NXT Heritage Cup Championship against Nathan Frazer on the latest show from WWE's developmental brand but the Scottish Supernova appeared on the entranceway on crutches ahead of the match and announced Oro Mensah would subsitute for him in the title match.

Mensah and Frazer ended up being tied at one fall apiece down the stretch, at which point Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend tried to interfere to assist their Meta-Four stablemate. The interference backfired, however, after Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz removed them from the apron. The distraction allowed Frazer to connect with a Phoenix Splash and he pinned Mensah to win the match 2-1 and the NXT Heritage Cup in the process.

The win ends Dar's second reign as champion at 341 days. It was also the first title Nathan Frazer has won in WWE since signing with the company in December 2020.
