New Championship Belt To Be Revealed On WWE Raw

Yet another one...

With ten championships currently on the main roster (four on Raw, four on SmackDown, the Cruiserweight title on 205 Live, and the unbranded Women's Tag Team titles), WWE is opting to throw another championship belt into the mix.

A few times during the course of WWE Money in the Bank on Sunday night, it was announced that Mick Foley would be at Monday's edition of Raw to help unveil a new title belt. Beyond this announcement, no further details (in regards to qualifications and/or rules for the championship) have been specified.

Monday's episode of Raw takes place at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. The planned concurrent SmackDown live event for Monday night in Lowell, MA was canceled days ago, most likely due to the necessity to put top-level SmackDown talents onto Raw, in order to satisfy the ongoing "Wild Card" modifier. It's possible, with the presence of wrestlers from both brands, that the belt could be another that is multi-brand.

Some are speculating that Foley's presence for the ceremony could be the return of some sort of Hardcore championship, due to him being synonymous with no-holds-barred style matches, and the fact that he was crowned the first WWE Hardcore champion in 1998.
