NXT TakeOver: San Jose Likely Being Rescheduled

Looks like a conflict...

Dave Meltzer reported earlier Sunday that the NXT TakeOver event slated for Saturday, June 8 in San Jose looks certain to be rescheduled.

In his update, Meltzer speculated that the next Saudi Arabia event being moved to Friday, June 7 is likely the cause of a forthcoming change in TakeOver's date. Originally, the currently-unnamed event in Saudi Arabia was due to take place on Friday, May 3, but was later moved to June 7, which has shaken up the month of June as far as WWE events are concerned.

The change in date for the Saudi Arabia card also necessitated pushing Backlash back one week, going from June 16 in San Diego to currently being scheduled for June 23 in Tacoma, WA.

Meltzer notes that this week will provide a clearer window into when TakeOver will take place, as NXT tapes their next batch of shows on Wednesday and Thursday. By then, WWE will have to know when they'll be holding TakeOver, so updated information about the card should be available before then.
