Paul Heyman & Eric Bischoff Named WWE Executive Directors - Heyman To Run Raw, Bischoff To Run SmackDown Live

All change at the top!

Sports Illustrated have had it confirmed to them by a spokesperson at WWE that the company have named Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff Executive Directors. Both men will essentially run WWE TV going forward.

Heyman has been named the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw, while Bischoff will run SmackDown Live. Bischoff will also work directly with executives from FOX, which will air SmackDown Live beginning this October.

Both men will report directly to Vince McMahon.

At the time of writing, this is a behind the scenes move by WWE and neither Heyman nor Bischoff's new roles will be incorporated into storylines.

Both men are famed for their roles running ECW and WCW respectively back in the 1990s.

While Eric hasn't worked with WWE in any capacity since 2007 (he has appeared in DVDs, on Raw25, and at the Hall Of Fame since then), Heyman has been the on-screen advocate for Brock Lesnar and has worked with the likes of Ronda Rousey in a character development role.
