Post-Thanksgiving WWE SmackDown On FOX Viewership Drops

Lowest on FOX Network so far...

You almost had to expect it due to the holiday week, so it's understandable that WWE SmackDown's viewership on Friday night fell to a new low on the FOX network.

Showbuzz Daily reports that the two-hour broadcast from Birmingham, AL averaged 2,336,000 viewers, a ten percent drop from last week's 2,601,000 average.

The episode dethrones the November 15 broadcast for lowest SmackDown viewership on the FOX Network so far. The November 15 show averaged 2,350,000 viewers.

To the show's credit, there wasn't much drop during the course of Friday's broadcast, as hour one averaged 2,350,000 viewers, while hour two only fell two percent to 2,322,000 viewers.

In other positive news for SmackDown, the show ranked number one on the major networks in the 18-34 age demographic with a 0.45 rating. In 18-49, SmackDown tied for first with CBS' broadcast of the 1969 animated Frosty the Snowman special, each earning a 0.7 demo rating.

As has been the case for the duration of its run on FOX, SmackDown was the second least-watched primetime show on the four major American networks, beating only ABC's Fresh Off the Boat (2,080,000 viewers).
