Former WWE Superstar and Five Star Wrestling icon Jake Hager will be fighting for MMA company Bellator at the end of the month, and he’s certainly in for one hell of an entrance.
Hager’s former colleague R-Truth will be signing him to the ring, while several WWE Superstars will be in the crowd for the fight – that’s according to an interview the former Five Star Wrestling Champion did with Fightful.com.
Signing a contract with Bellator back in the middle of 2017, Jake will be fighting at heavyweight against J.W. Kiser in what will be his MMA debut at Bellator 214 – a fight that is on the undercard for Ryan Bader vs Fedor Emelianenko.
In that interview with MMANews, Hager spoke about how his MMA training has been coming along recently: “It’s amazing, and has been incredibly tough with the transitions that I have gone through from where I was in WWE. It has actually taken off a lot of the aches and pains. My body feels amazing; I am stronger and more flexible than ever. I am in the best shape of my life. That is pretty impressive at 36 years old, so it is going good.”
You can see Bellator 214 on January 26 (the same night as NXT TakeOver: Pheonix).
