Report: Former WWE Champion Revealed As Next Inductee Into Hall Of Fame

Both members of the APA will be Hall Of Famers...

Back in December, WWE announced The nWo and Batista will be inducted into the Hall Of Fame during WrestleMania 36 weekend. The company has made no further announcements since then, but reports have indicated that The Bella Twins, Jushin "Thunder" Liger and Davey Boy Smith will also be added to this year's Hall Of Fame class.

Raj Giri at Wrestling Inc has now reported that former WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield will be the next inductee into the Hall Of Fame on April 2.

They wrote: "JBL is reportedly scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 36 week, Wrestling Inc. has exclusively learned. It's not known when the induction will be announced."

JBL wrestled in WWE for 13 years from 1996 until 2009. He enjoyed a successful career inside the squared circle, winning the WWE Championship at Great American Bash 2004. He went on to hold the title for 280 days as the top heel in the company, in which he had memorable matches with Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker, Booker T and Big Show.

After losing the WWE Championship to John Cena at WrestleMania 21, JBL continued his run as a top star in the company, competing in multiple world title matches and enjoying reigns as United States Champion and Intercontinental Champion before retiring after WrestleMania 25.

Layfield then returned to our TV screens in 2012 as a colour commentator. He appeared on both Raw and SmackDown before stepping away from the role in 2017.
