Report: Former WWE Women's Champion Set To Return At Royal Rumble

We could be feeling the glow very soon...

With the Royal Rumble just around the corner, rumours have been flying around about who could surprise us and return at the pay-per-view. Reports have indicated WWE Hall Of Famer Edge is set to be a surprise entrant in the Men's Royal Rumble match, and Harlem Heat and The Revival have both teased they are set for a showdown in Houston, Texas.

Now, Mike Johnson at PWInsider has reported that former SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi is set to make her return to a WWE ring during the Women's Royal Rumble match. She is expected to be in Houston for the pay-per-view with her husband Jimmy Uso.

The former Funkadactyl has not been on WWE TV since she defeated Sarah Logan on the July 26 episode of Main Event. While no official announcement was given at the time, Naomi confirmed on Twitter in September that the death of a loved one affected her badly and this prompted her to take some time away to heal both physically and mentally.

For the avoidance of doubt, Johnson penned: "WWE star Naomi, who has not wrestled for the company since July of last year, is slated to be in Houston, Texas for the Royal Rumble PPV, PWInsider.com has confirmed."
