Report: Kairi Sane Expected To Return Before End Of 2019

The Pirate Princess will be back sooner than expected!

At the TLC pay-per-view, The Kabuki Warriors faced off against Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match for the Women's Tag Team Championship.

In the first few minutes of the match, Kairi Sane was knocked out. Despite this, she carried on with the contest, but Asuka took on more of a dominant role, as The Kabuki Warriors were booked to retain the titles. After 27 minutes, The Empress Of Tomorrow scaled the ladder and grabbed the championships, securing the victory for her team.

The Pirate Princess tweeted a thumbs-up yesterday, suggesting she was okay after her injury.

Now, Mike Johnson at PWInsider has reported that Sane is expected to return to in-ring action at WWE's house show at Madison Square Garden on December 26th. She is currently scheduled to defend the Women's Tag Team Championship with Asuka inside a steel cage against Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair.

For the avoidance of doubt, Johnson wrote: "Although Kairi Sane stated she was fine yesterday at the Raw taping, WWE chose to hold her out as a precaution due to concussion concerns coming out of the Kabuki Warriors vs. Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch TLC match at the PPV Sunday, where it was obvious she was out of sorts later in the match. She is tentatively expected to return to the ring on 12/26 in Madison Square Garden."
