Report: Plans For Shinsuke Nakamura & Sami Zayn On WWE SmackDown Live Revealed

The new tandem have been going after The Miz...

Last week's WWE SmackDown Live saw the birth of a new partnership between Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura.

The pair, who faced-off against each other for The King Of Strong Style's NXT debut all the way back in 2016, have been targeting The Miz with Sami the mouthpiece for Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke.

According to the Twitter account WrestleVotes, the former yellow and gold brand favourites are set for a run together as partners before turning on each other and becoming rivals: "One of the ideas I’ve heard when the Zayn / Nakamura storyline was decided upon was to eventually resemble that of the Jericho / Owens friendship from a few years ago, leading to a big time blowoff match. However, I’d be surprised if this story lasted all the way thru to Mania," they tweeted.

During this week's SmackDown Live, Miz ran down Sami claiming the former NXT Champion cannot hack it on his own in WWE. The A-Lister then claimed he was a better IC champ than Nakamura before challenging The Rockstar to a match with the gold on the line.
