Report: Randy Orton Tried Pitching Faction With The Revival To Vince McMahon

What happened?

In his feud with then-WWE champion Kofi Kingston (and The New Day, by proxy) earlier this summer, Randy Orton was flanked by Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, The Revival.

The trio teamed up together in matches with The New Day on several episodes of SmackDown, and even teamed together at live events in October.

Fightful learned that Orton had personally gone to McMahon to try and do more with The Revival, but based on their post-Draft placements (Orton on Raw, Revival on SmackDown), it didn't seem to take.

Per Fightful's report: "We're told by multiple sources that Orton pushed to do more work with them, even going as far as pitching a faction to Vince McMahon personally. The idea fell on deaf ears and Orton and the Revival were put on different brands in the WWE draft."

Since then, Orton, Dawson, and Wilder have teased a reunion down the road through several Twitter posts. After Dawson tweeted, "What SHOULD'VE been", Wilder replied, "What WILL be. Eventually." Orton then replied to Wilder, "2020."
