Report: Reason Bray Wyatt's 'The Fiend' Didn't Appear On WWE Raw Or SmackDown Live Revealed

The SummerSlam in-ring debutante saw off Finn Balor...

After what has to be the best WWE debut since Chris Jericho's switch from WCW back in the summer of 1999, fans of WWE were left disappointed as Bray Wyatt didn't appear on this week's Raw or SmackDown Live.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin, this was a deliberate move from WWE who appear to believe that less is more when it comes to The Fiend: "Bray Wyatt wasn’t shown on WWE TV this week to follow up on “The Fiend” debuting at SummerSlam because they want his character to be special and for it to feel like you’ll never know when he’s going to strike next," Satin tweeted.

Wyatt defeated Finn Balor pretty conclusively on Sunday, almost ripping the leader of Balor Club's head from his shoulders in the process.

After months of Firefly Fun House vignettes, SummerSlam was The Fiend's in-ring debut, and fans the world over fell in love with the updated theme, striking entrance, severed head lantern, and more brutal moveset on show from Wyatt.

Coming out of the match, it's not clear who is next in line to face The Fiend.
