Report: The Revival File Trademarks As Speculation On Their WWE Future Continues To Swirl

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of The Revival have both refused to sign new contracts with WWE and unless things change, they will leave the company in April. For their refusal to sign new contracts, Vince McMahon has started to push The Top Guys as a comedy tag team.
They last appeared on TV on the December 20th episode of Friday Night SmackDown when they were defeated by Heavy Machinery in a Miracle On 34th Street Fight. The match itself revolved around Otis trying to protect a ham, while Dawson suffered a body slam onto a pile of lego. Wilder and Dawson have also been used as comedic relief on house shows, twice losing to Lucha House Party over the Christmas period.
Now, the former SmackDown Tag Team champions have seemingly begun to prepare for life outside of WWE as, according to Steven Fernandes at PWInsider, they have applied to trademark "Shatter Machine"- the name of their finisher. This could be the tag team's new name if they leave WWE since the company owns the trademark for "The Revival."
Their application for the trademark indicated they intend to use the phrase for merchandise purposes and within professional wrestling appearances and matches. They used the same lawyer who has been helping Cody Rhodes as of late.
