Report: WWE Raw & SmackDown Live Writing Team Changes Revealed

Things shaken up backstage...

As we all know, WWE SmackDown Live will be moving from the USA Network to Fox come Friday, October 4.

The move is going to see exclusive rosters brought back to Raw and what will then be Friday Night SmackDown with a draft set to take place next month.

On top of that, per a report on Figure Four Online, WWE's red and blue brands will be getting their own exclusive writing teams as well.

Ahead of that writing team split, there has been a bit of a shakeup behind the scenes in the company as lead SmackDown writer Ryan Ward was recently removed from his position: "Ryan Ward, who had been the lead writer for SmackDown, is out, officially called a personal leave," F4WOnline's report states.

Ward's place will be filled by current Raw Head Writer Ed Koskey: "Koskey has been with the company for more than 18 years and has been a key writer for more than a decade and is currently Vice President of Creative Writing," the report continues.

Jonathan Baeckstrom has taken over the Raw Head Writer role and will work under Executive Director, Paul Heyman.

Baeckstrom had been the lead writer of 205 Live but was moved to Raw by Heyman when The Advocate took his new role.
