Ric Flair Expected To Fully Recover, Per Wife's Statement

Good news for Naitch..

Earlier this morning, TMZ reported that legendary 16-time World champion Ric Flair had been rushed to a hospital outside of Atlanta, for what was then termed a "very serious" medical emergency. Son-in-law Conrad Thompson downplayed the tone of that report hours later, saying that Flair was having a procedure done before headed to Las Vegas next week for Starrcast weekend, and that it was nothing grave or serious.

Later in the day, Flair's wife Wendy Barlow released a statement to TMZ Sports, saying, “Due to ongoing health complications, Ric was taken to the hospital and is expected to undergo a procedure tomorrow morning, after which he expects to fully recover.”

"The Nature Boy" had previously been hospitalized in the summer of 2017, ending up on life support due to a grave medical episode, in which his kidneys and heart began to fail. He returned home from hospitalization and rehabilitation over one month later.

Thompson said in a media call hours after the initial story broke that a comedy roast starring Ric Flair, scheduled as part of Starrcast weekend in Las Vegas, was still on as scheduled.
