Ryback Reveals How Much WWE Superstars Make From Merchandise Sales

The Big Guy left WWE back in 2016...

Back on August 5, 2016, one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback announced that he had left WWE. Three days later, the company confirmed The Big Guy's release.

Wrestling Inc President Raj Giri was recently a guest on Ryback's podcast, Conversation with the Big Guy, and among the many topics discussed, the former Nexus man revealed just how much WWE Superstars actually make from t-shirt sales and the like.

"The thing is a $30 t-shirt they are selling, you're making a dollar or under a dollar a shirt, somewhere in that vicinity," Ryback said.

"Wrestlers, as independent contractors should be able to negotiate. WWE will say anyone can negotiate, I can tell you first hand that if you do that, you're not going to make any money and you're not going to be used. So, everybody signs the contract and just goes along with it because that is what everyone else has done."

Ryback also recently revealed that he is open to a professional wrestling return having not had a match since the summer of 2018.
