Sami Zayn Confronts "Homophobic Moron" During WWE Live Event
The fan was subsequently removed from the arena.
Since becoming Shinsuke Nakamura's manager, Sami Zayn has elevated the King of Strong Style within WWE, helping him capture the Intercontinental Championship.
Last night, SmackDown held a live event in Daytona, Florida in which Nakamura was scheduled to face "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship. As Nakamura and Zayn made their way to the ring, The Underdog From The Underground was the victim of homophobic abuse, as a fan in the front row repeatedly shouted: "Canadian f****t" at the Superstar.
After the fan shouted abuse for a second time, Zayn confronted him, calling him a "homophobic moron" and shouting at security to "get him out of my f*****g face."

The fan was promptly removed by security and Zayn later returned to the seat laughing: "Hey this seat is empty now, what happened?"
Following the incident, NJPW star Will Ospreay shared his own experiences of suffering homophobic abuse. He explained that during a match with Pete Dunne for TNT Extreme Wrestling, a group of fans chanted "what a f****t" at the Ariel Assassin. Ospreay did acknowledge how well both Dunne and TNT handled the incident, adding: "There is no place for homophobia!"
