Sasha Banks Discusses Reason Behind WWE Hiatus

"The Boss" speaks...

From the time of her and Bayley's Women's Tag Team title loss at WrestleMania 35 in April, up until her attack on Natalya and Becky Lynch the night after SummerSlam, Sasha Banks was nowhere to be seen in WWE.

Rumors abounded that Banks was frustrated with the company (some of the alleged frustration attributed to the apparently-sudden end of her and Bayley's Tag Team title reign), and had reportedly requested her release shortly after WrestleMania.

Days before her challenge of Raw Women's champion Becky Lynch at Clash of Champions, Banks spoke with WFNZ Radio's The Mac Attack in Charlotte, NC, discussing, among other topics, the cause of her four month hiatus that ended last month.

Said Banks, "I’ve been doing this for seven years straight, no break. People need to step back and reevaluate their lives and take care of their souls and minds and I’m back and I’m better than ever and I got myself a championship match on Sunday so, I think I did quite well for myself, right?"
