Simone Johnson Signs With WWE, Reports To Performance Center

Fourth generation wrestler...

WWE has reported that Simone Johnson has signed with the company, and has reported to their Performance Center on a full-time basis.

Johnson becomes the first ever fourth-generation wrestler in company history, following in the footsteps of her father Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, grandfather Rocky Johnson, and great-grandfather "High Chief" Peter Maivia. The latter two were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008.

She began training at the Performance Center in 2018 when she was still in high school, but that was only on a part-time basis.

According to the WWE Now report, she begins her full-time training under the tutelage of Matt Bloom and Sara Amato.

Johnson will take part in an interview with Cathy Kelley on Wednesday to discuss her signing with WWE, and what her father thinks of the news.

In a 2019 interview with Pro Wrestling Sheet, Johnson admitted that her biggest fear is not living up to the towering family legacy, adding, "But then, when I think about that, I also feel like that’s, in a way, comparing myself. So I feel like probably just never falling into that trap of comparing myself.”
