The Fiend Vs. Goldberg, Two Other Matches Added To WWE Super ShowDown

Fiend's next?

On Friday night's episode of WWE SmackDown, we did indeed find out what's next for Goldberg - a rematch for the WWE Universal title he lost three years ago.

As Goldberg was issuing a challenge to The Fiend for the belt, he was suddenly interrupted by a Firefly Funhouse vignette. Bray Wyatt, in the guise of a news anchor, agreed to a title match at Super ShowDown, and attempted to interview Goldberg, before Goldberg simply walked off.

This will mark Goldberg's first match since defeating Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam. He wrestled at last year's Super ShowDown, in an infamous match against The Undertaker.

Also from SmackDown, The Miz and John Morrison's challenge of SmackDown Tag Team champions The New Day was confirmed for the card.

Additionally on Friday's show, an irate King Corbin demanded one more match with Roman Reigns. Reigns agreed, and demanded that it be inside a steel cage.

The updated card for Super ShowDown, live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, February 27, is as follows:

*WWE Universal: The Fiend (c) vs. Goldberg

*WWE World: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Ricochet

*Steel cage: Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin

*SmackDown Tag Team: The New Day (c) vs. The Miz and John Morrison
