Title Change Takes Place On WWE SmackDown

Somebody's packing two belts...

A title change took place on WWE SmackDown on Friday night, one that sees gold restored to its original holders.

Bayley and Sasha Banks defeated Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross to capture the Women's Tag Team titles at the Performance Center. With the win, Bayley holds both the Tag titles and her SmackDown Women's title.

Bayley and Banks join the dethroned Bliss and Cross as the only other duo to have held the championships twice. They were the titles' original champions, capturing them in an Elimination Chamber bout in February of 2019.

Bliss and Cross' reign began at WrestleMania 36, when they defeated The Kabuki Warriors to capture the belts. They previously reigned with the titles from August to October of last year, losing them to the Warriors.

For Bayley, the win gives her her fifth main roster belt. In addition to her current titles and prior Tag reign, she also previously held the Raw and SmackDown Women's titles each one other time.

As for Banks, this marks her sixth main roster title, having held the Raw Women's title four times.
