Triple H Will Appear On WWE Backstage This Week, CM Punk Will Not

No voice for the Voice Of The Voiceless.

Since returning to the WWE fold two weeks ago on WWE Backstage, CM Punk has had the wrestling world buzzing.

During his debut as an analyst on last week's episode, Punk admonished The Big Dog segment on 15th November episode of SmackDown, calling it "garbage." He also discussed the possibility of an in-ring return, and responded to a challenge from former Universal Champion Seth Rollins. This all contributed to WWE Backstage's viewership increasing by 80%, from 100,000 viewers to 180,000.

In preparation for this week's episode, the WWE on FOX Twitter account announced that Triple H will appear on the show from the WWE Performance Center. This whetted the appetite for many wrestling fans, who hoped to see the 'Voice of the Voiceless' get the opportunity to grill the WWE COO.

However, FOX were quick to throw cold water on these hopes. After a fan tweeted them asking if Punk would also be on this week's episode, they replied that he would not be.

Punk and Triple H do have a history with one another. Following his famous appearance on Colt Cabana's podcast in 2014, Punk said that he held some resentment towards the Cerebral Assassin.
