Two New Names Linked With WWE Hall Of Fame Inductions

2018's class comes closer to completion...

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that both Bam Bam Bigelow and Kid Rock are expected to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year.

The pair would join headliner Goldberg, plus The Dudley Boyz, Ivory and Jeff Jarrett in this year’s Hall with the ceremony taking place on April 6 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans - two nights before WrestleMania 34.

The late Bam Bam Bigelow undoubtedly belongs in the Hall of Fame, with few men of his size and stature able to match his athleticism and agility in the ring. Wrestling for WWE between 1987-88 and 1992-95, The Beast From The East wasn’t able to bring home any gold, but is fondly remembered for reaching the final of the 1993 King of the Ring tournament, his tandem with his ‘main squeeze’ Luna, and carrying New York Giants All-Pro linebacker Lawrence Taylor to a main event match at WrestleMania XI.

Bam Bam also turned out ECW, WCW, and promotions in Japan over the course of a 20-year career before his untimely death in January 2007.

As for Kid Rock, he could be the first induction into the celebrity wing of WWE’s hall since Snoop Dogg in 2016. WWE are currently using one of his songs as part of the coutdown to ‘Mania vignettes that are airing each week on Raw and SmackDown, while he was also responsible for ‘Mania XXX’s theme.

He also performed The Undertaker’s entrance music upon the Undead Man's 2000 return, with his most recognisable performance - from a WWE fan's perspective, that is - coming at WrestleMania XXV.
