Two Title Matches Announced For December 18th Episode Of WWE NXT

Will we bask in the glory of a new NXT Champion?

WWE and All Elite Wrestling are pulling out all the stops for their final episodes before Christmas. AEW have already confirmed that Chris Jericho will face Jungle Boy on December 18th. Now NXT have announced two championships will be defended on the same night.

Rhea Ripley and Shayna Baszler have been embroiled in a feud with one another. Both Superstars faced off in WarGames, with Team Ripley emerging victorious against the NXT Women's Champion.

On last night's episode of NXT, Ripley and Mia Yim confronted their WarGames team mate Dakota Kai, who betrayed them during the match. After forcing Kai to flee backstage, Ripley was left alone in the ring - but her exit was cut off by Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. The three Superstars then attacked Ripley, with Baszler forcing the former NXT UK Women's Champion to pass out after locking in the Kirifuda Clutch.

The NXT Women's Champion then challenged her nemesis to a title match on December 18th.

On next week's episode, Keith Lee will face off in a triple threat match against Tommaso Ciampa and Finn Balor to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Championship. The winner will face Adam Cole the following week.
