Update On Killer Kross’ Situation With Impact Wrestling

What’s the latest?

Impact Wrestling

After dropping a First Blood match to Eddie Edwards at Slammiversary over two months ago, Killer Kross has not been seen in Impact Wrestling.

Two months prior to that outing, reports emerged that Kross had asked for his release from the company.

A week ago, Impact taped on two nights in Kross’ hometown of Las Vegas, but the heavyweight was not booked on either taping.

Dave Meltzer notes in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that a number of talents at those tapings were upset with Impact’s apparent refusal to use Kross, who is a well-regarded figure backstage.

The annoyance on the part of the locker room was reportedly such that a number of wrestlers wanted to confront company President Ed Nordholm over it, though he was not present either night in Vegas.

Kross recently spoke to Sporting News about some of the ongoing issues between he and the company. Although he mentioned issues regarding merchandising as being part of the overall acrimony, he also said, “I’ve been advised not to go into the full detail of the issues, but I am hoping that they can be resolved as quickly as possible. It’s something I’ve been working on for many months.”

Added Kross, “I’m in a situation right now where I have to be very careful how I choose to address things. My hands are completely clean in all of this. I have been attempting to get clarification on things that were supposed to be given to me in a timely manner. Some of them have been … I’m not even sure how to put it. It’s so difficult to answer.

“It’s very difficult to even discuss. I’m doing my absolutely best to remain civil and professional on the entire ordeal and it’s extremely difficult.”
