War Games Returning To NXT TakeOver For Third Consecutive Year

Two rings and a cage once more...

After utilizing their variation of the Dusty Rhodes creation for their November TakeOvers in 2017 and 2018, NXT is bringing back the famed and celebrated War Games match for this November's TakeOver as well.

This year's edition will take place Saturday, November 23, from the AllState Arena in Chicago, the night before the 2019 Survivor Series, which will be held in the same venue.

WWE has already released ticket info for the event six months out. There will be a pre-sale on Wednesday, May 22 at 10 AM Central time, while general public goes on sale Friday, May 24 at 10 AM Central.

As noted, this will be the third year in a row that NXT runs with their slightly-modified version of the match. At the 2017 TakeOver event in Houston, The Undisputed Era won a special three-on-three-on-three variant of the bout over Sanity and the team of Roderick Strong and The Authors of Pain. Last year in Los Angeles, the four-man version of Undisputed Era lost to Ricochet, Pete Dunne, and the tandem formerly known as The War Raiders.
