WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match Participant Likely To Miss Event Due To Injury

Mustafa Ali's big chance could be gone for now...

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 takes place this weekend and unfortunately, it looks like one of the six men in the WWE Championship chamber match will be forced to pull out.

According to Sean Ross Sapp over at Fightful, Mustafa Ali is set to miss out on this weekend's match. Sources backstage at Raw have told Fightful that Ali's mounting injury problems "have proven too much and WWE is pulling him."

Ali has reportedly been working with an injured tailbone recently, and also suffered a nasty black eye during last week's SmackDown Live match with Randy Orton. This is going to lead to a storyline where Orton is blamed for all the injuries, according to Fightful - who have been unable to find out who will replace Ali in the chamber match.

Here’s how the full 2019 Elimination Chamber card is looking at the time of writing:

  • Daniel Bryan (C) vs. AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Mustafa Ali (?) vs. Samoa Joe – Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship

  • Nia Jax & Tamina vs. Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan vs. Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs. Peyton Royce & Billie Kay vs. Naomi & Carmella – Elimination Chamber match for the vacant WWE Women’s Tag Team titles

  • Shane McMahon & The Miz (C) vs. The Usos – SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships

  • Buddy Murphy (C) vs. Akira Tozawa – Cruiserweight Championship

  • Ronda Rousey (C) vs. Ruby Riott – Raw Women’s Championship
