WWE Reportedly Going With Kurt Angle Vs. Baron Corbin At WrestleMania 35 - No Swerve On Raw

It's happening...

Kurt Angle shocked the WWE Universe last night on WWE Raw as he announced that he intends to face Baron Corbin in his retirement match at WrestleMania 35 in just under three weeks time.

Even though the matchup does make sense from a storyline standpoint with Stephanie McMahon replacing Angle with Corbin as Raw General Manager last year, many fans believe this is a swerve on WWE's part leading to Angle vs. somebody like John Cena inside MetLife Stadium.

WWE even referenced the fan outrage to the announcement during last night's Raw, with Michael Cole bringing it up on commentary.

However, per a report from PWInsider, it appears that WWE legitimately want to have Corbin face Angle at WrestleMania. PWInsider have been told that Angle wanted a high profile opponent for his final match ever, and the negative reaction from his wife on social media was legit!

Angle's wife responded to several comments last night but has since deleted the tweets.

WrestleMania 35 is just 19 days away now, taking place on Sunday, April 7.
