WWE Suspends Robert Roode, Primo Colon For Violating Wellness Policy

30 day suspensions...

WWE has announced on Tuesday the suspensions of two wrestlers for violation of the company’s wellness policy.

The statement reads, “STAMFORD, CONN., December 10, 2019 – WWE has suspended Eddie Colón (Primo) and Robert Roode each for 30 days effective immediately, for a first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.”

Roode last appeared on the November 29 edition of SmackDown, losing to Roman Reigns in singles action. After the match, Roode was further beaten by Reigns, to the point where Roode did a stretcher job.

Roode was absent as steady tag team partner Dolph Ziggler helped Baron Corbin beat Reigns down at the end of this past Friday’s SmackDown.

Colon has not wrestled for WWE since February of this year, and hasn’t wrestled a televised match since last year’s Survivor Series.

He wrestled two matches in Puerto Rico this past summer, as he and cousin Epico’s employment status with WWE has come into question. Some reports have claimed that the two are no longer with the company, though Primo’s suspension indicates that’s not the case.
