WWE To Reveal Daniel Bryan's Fastlane Opponent On SmackDown

With only three weeks before the next WWE pay-per-view, Fastlane on March 10, the company needs to move quickly to assemble a card. At least one match will be made official Tuesday night on SmackDown.

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan will be finding out his Fastlane opponent on Tuesday night's broadcast, per WWE advertising.

Bryan retained the belt on Sunday night in a much talked-about Elimination Chamber match, outlasting Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and Kofi Kingston. It was the match's final 12 minutes between Bryan and Kingston that ignited fans both in the arena and watching around the world, as Bryan snuffed out fan choice Kingston in a well-dramatized scene.

Bryan's plans for WrestleMania 35 don't seem to be particularly solidified at the moment, and it's not clear if Fastlane will help spell out the direction that the WWE Championship will be going in at the event.

Also announced for Tuesday's SmackDown is a segment in which The Miz will publicly apologize to Shane McMahon over losing the Tag Team titles to The Usos on Sunday night.
