WWE's Charlotte Flair & Andrade Apply For Trademarks Relating To Their Wrestling Personas

Raw Superstars owning their proverbials...

A report from Fightful has revealed that WWE Raw Superstars Charlotte Flair and Andrade have applied for trademarks relating to their professional wrestling personas.

Back on November 27, 10-time women's champion Charlotte applied for the terms "The Queen of Wrestling" and "Ashley Flair" - a combination of her real and in-ring names.

Both applications were listed with the following description:

IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Graphic T-shirts; Hats; Hooded sweat shirts; Pants; T-shirts; Short-sleeved or long-sleeved t-shirts

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network.

On the same day, former NXT Champion Andrade applied for the trademark on his current WWE nickname "El Idolo," and his old CMLL ring name, La Sombra.

His applications went in with the following description:

IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Hats; Pants; Shirts

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network.

Typically, WWE owns the trademark for most, if not all of the terms relating to their Superstars. The company owns the trademark for "Andrade 'Cien' Almas" but rather surprisingly, per Fightful's report, there are no records for the trademark on "Charlotte Flair."
