WWE's Men's Tag Team Titles Reportedly Getting Redesigned

Days after Bayley and Sasha Banks became the first-ever (holders of the belts that signify the resurrected) WWE Women's Tag Team Champions(hip), Heel By Nature is reporting that new designs are in the offing for the male equivalent belts on Raw and SmackDown.

The article cites championship-design insider Belt Fan Dan as claiming that WWE has contacted Dave McMillan, a renowned designer of championship belts, including those used by WWE, to help with the purported re-design.

McMillan was the designer of the unified Tag Team belts that were revealed in 2010, the "penny" design with the Spartan helmet, that would persist for nearly six years.

The article also claims that a similar design to the men's belts was commissioned for the Women's titles, but later scrapped when the company didn't like the final product.

Notably, Dash Wilder (now holder of Raw's Tag Team belts with Revival partner Scott Dawson) has made several calls on Twitter for WWE to bring back the classic belt design that existed through much of the eighties and all of the nineties. Perhaps his tweets foreshadow a change that will be to his liking.
