10/28 WWE SmackDown To Air On Fox Sports 1

Due to the World Series

WWE SmackDown will air on US cable channel Fox Sports 1 next Friday night instead of its usual FOX network home.

The move to FS1 is due to Major League Baseball's World Series, for which Game 1 will take place Friday, October 28 on the main FOX network.

Should the World Series go past five games, then Game 6 would also take place on a Friday night (November 4), which would almost certainly mean another move for SmackDown.

Since moving to the FOX Network in 2019, WWE SmackDown has had to move to FS1 for a week during the annual World Series. However, this is the first time that, potentially, two episodes of the show could be affected by baseball.

In prior years, SmackDown would be moved to FS1 because of the third game of the World Series. However, MLB expanded its playoffs beginning this season, which altered the scheduling (hence why next week's broadcast is the same night as Game 1 instead of Game 3).

The October 28 SmackDown takes place at the Enterprise Center in St Louis, MO.
