Adam Cole Leaves Hospital On Crutches Following AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

AEW Dynamite Grand Slam ended with Adam Cole on crutches

Adam Cole left New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium on crutches after injuring his ankle during AEW Grand Slam Dynamite III.

Cole is believed to have hurt his ankle after jumping down from the entranceway during MJF’s main event World Title match with Samoa Joe, and it just looks like the multi-time ROH World Champion landed awkwardly. A follow-on report from Fightful Select reveals that Cole was limping backstage after the match, and was said to be in ‘obvious pain’ before being taken to the hospital.

At the time of writing there has been no word as to the nature of Cole’s ankle nor the severity of it. If Cole has broken his ankle, then there is a usual lay-off time of around six-to-eight weeks, but we’ll have to wait to hear from Cole and AEW.

Cole only returned to in-ring action in March after a lay-off of over eight months after suffering a bad concussion at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door I in June 2022. Let’s hope he doesn’t miss too much ring-time after this latest injury setback.
