Adam Cole Pulled From The Road

AEW pull Adam Cole from the road

Adam Cole has been pulled form the road, with the Undisputed Kingdom leader removed from all AEW commitments.

The former Ring of Honor World Champion has been out of action since September 2023 after suffering an ankle injury after landing awkwardly from a jump from the entrance ramp at Grand Slam III in New York. A report from Fightful Select states that Cole hasn’t been backstage for AEW TV tapings for a while due to being taken off the road, with his recovery not going as quickly as hoped.

Cole underwent surgery on his ankle in late 2023, but due to the setbacks in his recovery there is currently no timetable on his return to the ring. Whilst further TV appearances before a return to competition for Cole haven’t been ruled out entirely, they’ve merely been reduced to aid his rehabilitation.

Cole’s last match came at All Out 2023 on September 3, with Cole and then tag partner MJF defending the ROH World Tag Team Championships against The Dark Order. Cole eventually turned on MJF at Worlds End in December 2023, revealing himself as the mysterious ‘Devil’ that had been attacking various members of the AEW roster.
