Adam Cole Wants To Face Kazuchika Okada At AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door

Adam Cole vs. Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door?

Could Adam Cole be set for a major title match at the joint Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 26?

The Undisputed Elite member revealed last week that All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling will come together for Forbidden Door next month.

Speaking about the event with Stephanie Chase, Cole revealed he would love to face Kazuchika Okada.

"I've never had a singles match with Okada. I've wrestled Okada before in like a six-man tag team match in Ring of Honor, but we barely had any interaction together. I've wrestled Tanahashi, I just wrestled Ishii, which was really cool, wrestled Jushin Liger, YOSHI-HASHI, like so many different guys. But I would love a classic one-on-one singles match with Okada at some point. That would be really cool," Cole said.

If Cole does face The Rainmaker at Forbidden Door, it may well be an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match. Okada is the current world champion following his win over Shingo Takagi at Wrestle Kingdom 16 and he will defend the gold against Tetsuya Naito on May 1 at Wrestling Dontaku.
