AEW Announces Double Or Nothing Does Company's First-Ever Million Dollar Gate

A new milestone for the organization

AEW has reached more than $1 million in ticket sales for the first time in the company's three-year history.

Tony Khan announced in a tweet on Friday night that ticket sales for this year's Double or Nothing have already passed the $1 million mark. The event pre-sale began Thursday, with the general public sale starting on Friday.

Khan tweeted, "It’s Friday, you know what that means: #AEWRampage Live TONIGHT on @TNTdrama on the Road to Revolution this Sunday, and tonight we’re celebrating a milestone because today #DoubleOrNothing 1st day sales just gave us our 1st EVER $1 Million gate! Let’s celebrate tonight @ Rampage!."

For further context, Dave Meltzer tweeted, "WWE has done this before many times. Aside from WWE, no wrestling company did this as quickly and only NJPW/ROH ever hit the number in the U.S. aside from WWE."

The fourth annual Double or Nothing takes place at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena on Sunday, May 29. The finals for both the men's and women's Owen Hart Cup tournaments are slated for the event.
