AEW Announces TNT Title Matches For 3/9, 3/16 Dynamites

Busy times for the championship

AEW has announced two upcoming defenses of the TNT championship, taking place on the next two episodes of Dynamite.

First, a TNT title match pitting champion Sammy Guevara against Scorpio Sky is set for this Wednesday's AEW Dynamite in Estero, FL.

Tony Khan revealed that the title match is part of a deal made with Dan Lambert, one that could result in MMA star Paige VanZant signing with AEW.

Khan wrote, "I had offered a 7th spot in the Face of the Revolution match to 2021 winner @ScorpioSky but instead I just bartered with Dan Lambert: Scorpio Sky will challenge the winner of tonight’s 3 way #AEWRampage TNT Title match this Wednesday @ Dynamite + @paigevanzant will sign with @AEW"

Guevara won the aforementioned three way match on Friday's Rampage, defeating Andrade el Idolo and Darby Allin. Guevara and Allin will team with Sting on Sunday to face Andrade, Matt Hardy, and Isiah Kassidy in a tornado-rules match.

The winner of the match between Guevara and Sky will have to turn around and defend the title on the March 16 "St. Patrick's Day Slam" Dynamite in San Antonio, against the winner of Sunday's Face of the Revolution ladder match. Participants include Keith Lee, Wardlow, Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Orange Cassidy, and Christian Cage.
