After 13 years in retirement, Nigel McGuinness made his return to the ring at the All In pay-per-view, entering third in the Casino Gauntlet for a shot at the AEW World Championship. McGuinness received a monster pop inside Wembley Stadium and interacted with the likes of Orange Cassidy, Kazuchika Okada and Zack Sabre Jr. during what many have called one of the best Rumble-style matches in pro wrestling history.

The joy inside Wembley Stadium stretched backstage and Fightful Select has reported there was a lot of positivity around Nigel McGuinness' return. Ricochet also made his AEW debut in the Casino Gauntlet at All In and there was positivity around the former WWE Intercontinental Champion's debut too.

The future of Nigel McGuinness' in-ring career is unknown as the former ROH World Champion has remained quiet since All In, simply noting that his in-ring return had been 18 months in the making.

It is expected that Nigel McGuinness will remain on commentary in All Elite Wrestling. He has been the colour commentator on Collision since July 2023 and McGuinness is currently alongside Tony Schiavone on play-by-play.

One match fans have clamoured for is Nigel McGuinness vs. Bryan Danielson. Whether their rivalry will be rekindled in the squared circle remains unknown, however, especially as Danielson will end his full-time in-ring career when he loses the AEW World Championship.
