AEW Battle Of The Belts II Set For April
Another special on the way
All Elite Wrestling have announced the second edition of Battle Of The Belts.
The TNT special will be taped on Friday, April 15 along with a live edition of Rampage from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. Battle Of The Belts II will then air on Saturday, April 16.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, February 25.
AEW held the first Battle Of The Belts on Saturday, January 8 at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. The show featured three title matches, including Britt Baker vs. Riho for the AEW Women's World Championship, an FTW Title match between Ricky Starks and Matt Sydal, and an Interim TNT Championship bout between Sammy Guevara and Dustin Rhodes.
Guevara was originally slated to challenge Cody Rhodes for the TNT Title on the show but The American Nightmare was unable to compete due to medical protocols.
The first Battle Of The Belts averaged just over 700,000 viewers and a 0.27 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
Four quarterly Battle Of The Belts specials are slated to air on TNT every year.
