AEW Battle Of The Belts Interrupted By Stormy Weather

Severe thunderstorms cut out the feed for AEW Battle of the Belts

It was a three-hour extravaganza last night for AEW with both Collision and Battle of the Belts VII airing consecutively live, though for some fans, a two-hour and fifty minutes extravaganza might be a more accurate description.

In the final stages of the Toni Storm and Taya Valkyrie match for the AEW Women’s World Championship, the feed went dark. TNT quickly jumped to a commercial, before a return from the break saw a repeat of some portions of Collision from last week, leading to many confused fans. When the show finally returned to air, guest commentator Ian Riccaboni stated that due to severe thunderstorms in Calgary, Alberta, it had affected the broadcast.

It was revealed to fans that the full match between Storm and Valkyrie that fans missed would be available to watch on the TNT app. Storm would successfully retain her belt at the event. Elsewhere, Luchasaurus retained the TNT Championship in his match with Shawn Spears, and Orange Cassidy managed to survive Lance Archer to keep hold of his International Championship.
