AEW Collision Briefly On Lockdown Due To Suspicious Duffel Bag

There was briefly a lockdown following the August 8 edition of AEW Collision from the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

After Conrad Thompson noted there was a lockdown on What Happened When?, Tony Schiavone detailed exactly what happened following the live episode of Collision.

"I did not get stuck at all because what happened was, when the show was over, one of the security guys came up to me and says, 'There’s a lockdown. Do not exit through the fans, go straight through the exit.' We just went, 'Okay.' Eddie (Kingston) was in the middle of the ring saying hello to the fans and everything after the show was out. We walked back. As soon as I got through the curtains, the security guy looked at his phone and said, 'Lockdown’s over,'" Schiavone stated.

Schiavone noted that after speaking to security, the lockdown was due to a suspicious-looking duffel bag at AEW Collision, but there was ultimately nothing untoward with the bag.

Outside of the dodgy-looking duffel bag, Saturday's AEW Collision saw Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, and Claudio Castagnoli pick up wins to advance in the AEW Continental Cup, and The Death Riders secure a win against the Bang Bang Gang and Jack Perry, among other matches.
