AEW Collision Set To Go Head-To-Head With WWE SmackDown Later This Year

All Elite Wrestling and WWE will go head-to-head later this year. 

AEW have announced that Collision and Rampage will both emanate from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California on Friday, November 17. Both shows will be taped then as the Full Gear pay-per-view will air from The Forum on Saturday, November 18. 

AEW Collision is usually scheduled to air on Saturday nights between 8 pm and 10 pm ET on TNT in the United States. The one-week move means AEW Collision will go head-to-head with the November 17 edition of Friday Night SmackDown that is scheduled to air on FOX. 

AEW Collision looks set to undergo changes in the coming weeks. CM Punk was the centrepiece of the Saturday night show but he was fired by AEW on September 2 following an investigation into the backstage altercation at All In between Punk and Jack Perry. Tony Khan later announced that he feared for his life at the show because of Punk's actions.

Bryan Danielson is set to be a featured performer on AEW Collision moving forward and the brand split to separate Punk and other AEW talents is no longer a factor so all wrestlers will be able to appear on both shows. Alongside the brand split, Punk reportedly banned the likes of Matt Hardy, Christopher Daniels, Isiah Kassidy, and Ryan Nemeth from Collision tapings.
