AEW Could Resume Tapings As Three States In America Move To Reopen

As coronavirus cases in the US continue to grow...

As of writing, there are 799,619 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the United States. Despite this, there were widespread protests throughout the nation over the weekend as conservatives and far-right groups demanded states relax lockdown restrictions.

The anti-lockdown protestors will seemingly get their wish as Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina announced they would be easing restrictions in the coming days. Governor of Georgia Brian Kemp told reporters that from Friday, residents will be allowed to return to gyms, and get haircuts and tattoos. Social distancing measures will remain in place, however.

The news could allow All Elite Wrestling to resume tapings in the state at QT Marshall's gym in Norcross. The young promotion does also have the option to return to Florida after Governor DeSantis added "professional sports and media production" to the list of essential services in The Sunshine State.

The young promotion has taped all of its programming until May 20, but one unnamed AEW star told Dave Meltzer at Wrestling Observer Online that they would be going into quarantine for 14 days to ensure they can wrestle at the next set of tapings.
