It’s Thursday morning, you know what that means - all the results from last night’s AEW: Dynamite Homecoming special from Daily’s Place.
Malakai Black and Cody Rhodes finally faced off after weeks of brawling, sneak attacks, and Malakai welcomed Cody to the ‘house of black’ in dominant fashion. After taking Rhodes’ head off with Black Mass, Black pinned The American nightmare with one foot, and post-match attacked Cody again when the grandson of a plumber teased retirement.
Chris Jericho survived the third Labour of Jericho, defeating former WCW rival Juventud Guerrera. MJF decreed that Jericho could only win after hitting a top-rope move, crushing the Juice with a top rope Judas Effect. MJF announced the fourth Labour will be Jericho against Wardlow, with MJF ringside to keep an eye on proceedings.
After defeat to The Elite last week, Hangman Page called off his alliance with The Dark Order, for now. Page went to air his thoughts in ring with Tony Schiavone, but was cut off by The Elite. The Elite disparaged Page and The Dark Order, and beat down Page after he decked Omega. Dark Order came to help Page, but held off, as Hangman had insisted he needs to go through these trials alone.
Elsewhere, Christian Cage was inserted as number one contender to AEW World Champion Kenny Omega after victory against The Blade, Red Velvet confronted AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker ahead of a title showdown on Rampage, Dark Order’s Evil Uno and Stu Grayson will compete for the IMPACT World Tag Titles against The Good Brothers, and Legit Leyla Hirsch will face NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille at NWA Empowerrr.
