AEW: Fight Forever Intro Seemingly Inspired By TNA Impact! Video Game

All Elite Wrestling seemingly looked to another professional wrestling video game when they were producing the introduction for AEW: Fight Forever.

AEW: Fight Forever begins with a typically grandiose video package that showcases the promotion's talent when players boot up the game, with the narrator saying, "There are moments when time stands still, when history unfolds, when we are bound by the magnificence of one singular event." The narrator then moves on to detailing the founding of All Elite Wrestling in 2019.

Garrett Kidney from You've Got To Me Kidding Me: A TNA History Podcast has since spotted the AEW: Fight Forever intro is an exact copy of the opening lines from the introduction of 2008's TNA: Impact! video game.

TNA Wrestling were riding high in 2008 with the likes of Kurt Angle, Sting, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Abyss, and Christian Cage on the roster and their TNA Impact! video game was released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Nintendo Wii. It came out to mixed reviews and a planned sequel was scrapped after developer and publisher Midway Games went bankrupt.

AEW: Fight Forever was released today for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Check out our full review of AEW: Fight Forever here.
