AEW Files New Trademark For "Meat Mayhem"

AEW have trademarked the term "Meat Mayhem"

Back at the Revolution 2024 PPV, AEW were set to host a “Meat Madness” match, featuring several big meaty boys clashing to chants of “meat” from the audience. The likes of Miro, Powerhouse Hobbs, Lance Archer, and Wardlow were set to compete in this first ever match, but several injuries led to the bout being cancelled. It was instead replaced with an “All Star Scramble” featuring Wardlow, Chris Jericho, Hook, Magnus, Powerhouse Hobbs, Dante Martin, and Brian Cage.

On X, Tony Khan noted that the match was only cancelled temporarily, and was being put “on ice”.

“With multiple wrestlers slated for #AEWRevolution's Meat Madness match out injured + shelved by AEW docs, I'm temporarily freezing the bout until they're clear. Meat Madness is on ice; instead Sunday's ppv will feature an All-Star Scramble Match!”

Meat Madness could be making a return soon but under a different name of “Meat Mayhem”. It has been revealed that AEW have trademarked the term with the following listing.

“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of live wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing multimedia program featuring wrestling distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of wrestling.”
