AEW Performer Abadon Injured At TV Tapings

During a match with Tay Conti...

A report from Dave Meltzer on Figure Four Weekly's website claims that AEW performer Abadon was injured at Thursday's Dynamite tapings.

Abadon was wrestling Tay Conti in a match that was first promoted during Wednesday's live broadcast.

According to Meltzer, though the exact nature of the injury is not known, Abadon apparently required hospitalization, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Abadon made her AEW debut in March of this year, after previously wrestling in several Colorado-based independents, including Rocky Mountain Pro Wrestling, where she trained.

The first AEW match for the "Living Dead Girl" took place on a Dark taping just outside Denver on March 4, losing to Hikaru Shida. Abadon quickly garnered attention for her appearance, in particular her elaborate horror-themed make-up.

Since then, Abadon has wrestled sporadically on Dark, defeating opponents such as KiLynn King, Red Velvet, and Dani Jordyn. Her lone Dynamite match prior to Thursday's taping was a win over Anna Jay, which aired on the June 17 episode. After that match, it was confirmed that Abadon had signed a contract with the promotion.
