With AEW and WWE focusing on the US East-coast market for several shows between now and the end of the year, AEW are reportedly outselling WWE for their Long Island debut at the UBS Arena.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter “The WWE show sold about 750 on the pre-sale while AEW sold about 4,000 on the pre-sale”, a figure given extra significance seeing as both companies are running the same arena within weeks of one another, with WWE running the arena on November 29, and AEW on December 8.

WrestleTix on Twitter followed up saying that WWE Raw’s debut in the UBS Arena has sold 2,365 tickets while AEW has sold 6,167 tickets. The UBS Arena is a brand new multi-purpose arena, and is scheduled to open on November 20.

With AEW currently on a hot streak the news should come as little surprise, but when you factor in that Long Island is part of WWE’s traditional home base of New York, then these early figures are sure to be greeted as somewhat of a victory by AEW.
